STUDENT ADVICE
Here we provide advice from current students to help you better understand and connect with your student in their college careers.
By now, your students should have already been given access to enroll in their Fall 2023 courses and picked most of their classes. However, since there are numerous courses to choose from and multiple systems to navigate, we asked current students to share some advice.
Choosing Next Semester Classes ✏️ | Here are some tips to help your student with the next semester:
- Meet with an Advisor: Recommend your student make an appointment with an advisor. During the meeting, your student can ensure that they are on track for graduation, learn which courses to take for their major, and ask any questions they may have about navigating Baruch.
- Check DegreeWorks: DegreeWorks helps your student stay on track for graduation by showing required courses, fulfilled courses, GPA, and more. Advise your student to utilize their DegreeWorks. More information here.
- Talk to Other Students: Sometimes the best advice is from those who are going through the same thing. Tell your student to reach out to other classmates that can give them personal tips on choosing classes.

SAFETY
COVID-19
In the wake of significant improvements in New York City and State and across the nation, Baruch College and the City University of New York (CUNY) are ending the emergency vaccination mandate for students, faculty and staff. The change will be effective beginning of the last day of the Spring semester (May 23rd) and will allow students to enroll in classes, regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status, starting with Summer sessions.
