Week of Welcome is a series of programs set during the beginning of the semester to welcome our students to Baruch and connect them to our vibrant campus life. There will be opportunities to meet club leaders, network with other students, and learn about the various resources available to help you succeed while at Baruch.

Bridge to Baruch (B2B) transfer students, come join us for coffee, cookies and connections. Starting at a new school can be exciting and perhaps a little scary. Come meet some of your fellow transfer students for coffee and cookies, while meeting people who are also new transfer students to Baruch College. There will be activities to make getting to know one another a little better.

Attend this workshop for eligibility to apply to opportunities through Baruch’s On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) Program. Talk the Talk: Success through Classroom Participation

All students are encouraged to join Baruch’s Tools for Clear Speech program (TfCS) as we explore how effective communication can lead to a deeper understanding of course material, help foster new friendships with classmates, and of course, help you earn better grades! We’ll also discuss how strategic group communication skills can enhance career opportunities. At the end of the session, we will show how multilingual learners of English can take advantage of free TfCS services to improve their communication skills, speaking confidence, and career readiness.

Transfer Student Welcome Event

This exciting event offers transfer students the opportunity to meet and connect with one another through games and activities designed for networking. The Baruch College Fall 2024 Virtual Accounting Career Fair is open to all Baruch College undergraduate and graduate (MS/MBA) students from all majors, interested in obtaining internships and entry-level positions within public and private accounting including audit, tax, risk, advisory, assurance and more. This career fair will be held virtually on Handshake and offers the ability to participate in scheduled 1:1 and group video chats directly through the portal. This event is being organized by the Baruch College Starr Career Development Center and the Graduate Career Management Center.
Online workshop: Communicating about Accommodations and Accessibility

This online workshop offers a supportive environment for students with disabilities to learn and practice strategies for communicating with professors about accessibility. In this interactive workshop, we’ll analyze sample emails, talk about strategies for clear and proactive communication, and spend time drafting and revising an accommodations-related email to a professor.
