CUNY VOTES is a comprehensive, non-partisan initiative whose mission is to promote student voter registration, voter participation and voter awareness through campus based activities, external partnerships and University-wide campaigns.
Key Voting & Election Dates
Change of Political Party Affiliation deadline: February 14, 2026
In order to vote in a political party primary, you must be affiliated with that political party.
Change of Address deadline: June 8, 2026
Voter Registration deadline: June 13, 2026
Mail Ballot request deadline: June 13, 2026
Early Voting: September 13, 2026–June 21, 2026
Mail Ballot postmark deadline: June 23, 2026
All ballots by mail must be received by the Board of Elections no later than June 30, 2026.
Primary Election Day: Tuesday, June 23, 2026
Change of Address deadline: October 19, 2026
Voter Registration deadline: October 24, 2026
Early Voting: October 24, 2026–November 1, 2026
Election Day: November 3, 2026
