Types of Contracts

All expenditures for personnel services, such as speakers, musicians, performers, DJ’s, require a completed contract before the event takes place.

Only your Student Life Advisor can procure a contract from a vendor. Log on to MyBaruch and request a contract by submitting the required information.

Independent Contractor Agreement

This type of contract is used for vendors who perform at an event or provide specialized services.

Performance vendors may include DJs, bands, musicians, dancers, singers, or magicians, and some may be managed by an agent.

Service vendors may include photographers, food servers, lighting engineers, coach bus services, salon services, smoothie businesses, business owners, or full catering services.

Honorarium

This type of contract is used for panelists or guest speakers participating in your event. They may offer insights, deliver a lecture, or provide information to your audience on a specific topic. Honorariums should not exceed $2,000. Please consult with your advisor to discuss appropriate fees.
