    Annie Virkus-Estrada – Associate Dean of Students

    Annie Virkus-Estrada is the Associate Dean of Students at Baruch College. She joined the College in August 2018 from Rutgers University–Newark, where she served as Associate Dean for Student and Academic Services in the School of Public Affairs and Administration. In her new role, Annie supervises the Office of the Dean of Students, spearheads the division’s assessment efforts, chairs the Campus Intervention Team (CIT), and serves as the College’s Academic Integrity Officer. She has additional oversight for the Early Learning Center, Veteran Student Services, Residence Life, Academic Integrity, Community Standards, the OASAS Substance Abuse Prevention program, and Health & Wellness, including the Student Health Center. Annie’s academic interest areas include organizational culture, structure, and policy enactment in higher education. She is experienced in designing programs and curricula, creating assessment, and supervising and mentoring future leaders.

    Prior to her work at Rutgers, Annie served as Director of Leadership & Civic Engagement at Columbia University. Before that, she held several roles at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute that included Associate Director of the Archer Center for Student Leadership Development, Assistant Dean of the First-Year Experience, and Director of Orientation; Annie holds BA, MA, and PhD degrees from SUNY Albany.
