Please read this entire page as it contains important information.

    Checklist

    • File for graduation with the Office of the Registrar.
    • If inviting relatives from overseas, submit an Invitation Letter Form. (Deadline May 10)
    • Submit a Student Cap & Gown Order/Guest Ticket Request Form. (Deadline May 7)
    • Purchase your Cap & Gown. (Deadline May 7)

    See detailed information below.

    Graduation Eligibility

You must file an Application for Degree form with the Office of the Registrar. Only an official notification from the Office of the Registrar should be accepted as a definitive statement of graduation. Receipt of a commencement letter from Student Life does not signify that you have fulfilled all your academic requirements and does not indicate that you are eligible to graduate.

Students who graduated in Summer 2025 or Fall 2025, or will be graduating in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026, are eligible to attend this year’s Commencement Ceremony. If you anticipate graduating in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026, please sign up to attend. Confirmation of final grades is not required to attend.

Invitation Letter Form for Overseas Guests

The Office of Student Life provides letters to students interested in inviting their relatives from overseas to the 2026 Commencement Ceremony. You will need to fill out the Invitation Letter Form with the proper information and correct spelling. The deadline to submit is May 10.

Before you get started, please be sure to complete the following steps:

    1. File an Application for Degree form with the Office of the Registrar.
    2. Obtain a PDF of your “Enrollment Verification” from the Office of the Registrar. You may request it online or in person: Room 850, Information & Technology Building (151 E. 25th St.). Be sure to request a PDF or scan the physical copy to upload.

We will not begin writing the letter until we have received the Invitation Letter Form with the Enrollment Verification.

You will be notified once your letter is ready to be picked up.

Please note that the letter provided by the Office of Student Life does not guarantee relatives overseas admission into the United States.

    Time & Place

Baruch College will hold its 2026 Commencement Ceremony on Monday, June 1 at Barclays Center at 620 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.

There will be one commencement ceremony at 9:00 a.m., with both undergraduate and graduate students at the ceremony. Doors open at 7:30 a.m.

Please continue to check this site for updates and additional information.

    Filing Deadlines

The deadline to complete your cap & gown order is Thursday, May 7, 2026 (the order site closes at 11:45 p.m.). See below to order your cap & gown and request guest tickets.

IMPORTANT: You will NOT be able to purchase your cap & gown or request guest tickets after this deadline date.

    Cap & Gown

Participants in the Commencement Ceremony must wear appropriate academic attire. You are required to wear a cap, gown, hood, and tassel. Please note that a hood and a stole are not the same thing. A hood is required and is part of all regalia packages, whereas a stole is an optional decorative item.

The deadline to order is 11:45 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2026.

STUDENT CAP & GOWN ORDER/GUEST TICKET REQUEST FORM

Be sure to indicate which degree you are receiving (Undergrads–BA, BBA or BS; Grads–MA, MBA, MIA, MPA, MS, MSEd; Doctorates–DBA, PhD). Measure your height while wearing heels of the same height that you will wear to the exercises. The academic regalia is made with 100% recycled content as part of Baruch’s sustainability initiative.

The entire academic attire is yours to keep. If for any reason you choose not to attend the ceremony, you may make a written request for a refund to thegraduateguy@aol.com by May 1, 2026. (Note: requests for refunds will NOT be honored after Commencement.)

Important: If you wish to attend the Commencement Ceremony, you MUST fill out the Student Cap & Gown Order/Guest Ticket Request Form. Ordering a cap & gown without filling out this form will not guarantee you entry to the Ceremony.
