    Civic Engagement

One of the foundational purposes of Higher Education is to prepare students to civically participate in our society. Colleges across the country continue to develop new initiatives related to civic engagement.

We view community service opportunities as not only service but as an opportunity of experiential learning. A part of this experiential learning is to consistently provide students with volunteer opportunities that will further support and enhance their collegiate experience while at Baruch College.

Previous Community Service Projects have included:

    • The Bowery Mission
    • Habitat for Humanity
    • Part of the Solution (P.O.T.S.)
    • God’s Love We Deliver
    • BedStuy Campaign Against Hunger
    • Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project
    • Battle of the Boroughs

Community Service opportunities will be available for the 2023-2024 academic year.

For additional questions or to learn more about additional civic engagement opportunities, please contact Margaret Holman at margaret.van-ess@baruch.cuny.edu.
