Civic Engagement
One of the foundational purposes of Higher Education is to prepare students to civically participate in our society. Colleges across the country continue to develop new initiatives related to civic engagement.
We view community service opportunities as not only service but as an opportunity of experiential learning. A part of this experiential learning is to consistently provide students with volunteer opportunities that will further support and enhance their collegiate experience while at Baruch College.
Previous Community Service Projects have included:
- The Bowery Mission
- Habitat for Humanity
- Part of the Solution (P.O.T.S.)
- God’s Love We Deliver
- BedStuy Campaign Against Hunger
- Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project
- Battle of the Boroughs

God’s Love We Deliver!
The Office of Student Life invites you to take part in a meaningful community service opportunity at God’s Love We Deliver, a nonprofit organization that prepares and delivers nutritious meals to individuals living with serious illnesses across New York City.
Come lend a hand as we chop, package, and prepare meals that make a real difference in people’s lives. This is a great way to connect with fellow students, give back to the community, and live out Baruch’s values of service and compassion.
