    Exam Proctoring Procedures

STUDENTS: For ONLINE courses your Instructor can adjust your time for an exam in the LMS (like Blackboard). Share your Accommodation Letter or Accommodation Card with your professor at the beginning of the semester.

FACULTY: For ONLINE courses, students registered with SDS will email you their Accommodation Card OR Accommodation Letter listing their accommodations. Please adjust the time in your LMS to accommodate them. Contact SDS with any questions. 646-312-4590

What Faculty need to know about Student Exam Proctoring Requests

If a student is registered with Student Disability Services and has extended time for an exam which cannot be accommodated in the classroom, the student can submit a Request for Exam Proctoring to Student Disability Services. The Student will ask YOU to complete part of that form: the exam details.

    SDS proctors Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:00.

Evening and weekend students should discuss with you an alternate time to take the exam and you should indicate the alternate time on the Request form.

Complete your part of the Request and give the Request for Exam Proctoring to the student. That completed Request is emailed or delivered by the STUDENT to Student Disability Services.

If all the details are on the Request, we email you to confirm exam details and request the exam be emailed to Exam.SDS.Proctoring@baruch.cuny.edu

We then email the student confirming the date and time of the exam. The student would go to Student Disability Services, NVC 2-272 on the date and time that is on the Exam Proctor Request. When the student finishes the exam, we scan it and email to you.

You and the student should take great care in completing and submitting the Proctoring Request. We do not ADJUST the exam time once a request has been processed and the proctoring is scheduled. The student is aware of this.

If all the necessary exam details for us to schedule within our proctoring hours are not on the Request (date and time for example), the Request will NOT be processed.

Reminder: Never email an exam to SDS unless you are replying to our request to do so.
