Important Notice: Final Exam Scheduling Policy

Final exams may not take place outside the final exam period, Sunday December 15th through Saturday December 21st.
Although some students (and some instructors) might prefer to complete the final before the exam period begins, we may not do this because:

    1. You should not have to study for a final that will take place on days that you are still attending and doing assignments for other classes. Please do not ask your instructor to give the exam before the final exam period.
    2. The New York State Education Department specifies the minimum number of contact hours per credit; we meet the minimum by including the final exam period; therefore, no final exams may be administered during regularly scheduled classes, including during the last sessions of the semester; and
    3. You deserve the number of classroom hours you have paid for.

If your instructor is not complying with the college’s final examination policy, please contact AVP/Associate Dean of Students Dr. Annie Virkus-Estrada (646-312-4570) or Annie.Virkus-Estrada@baruch.cuny.edu.

    Bearcat Food Pantry
The purpose of the Pantry is to provide Baruch students, who face food insecurity, access to healthy and nutritious food to help support their path towards graduation. Along with the Pantry, students who do not have regular access to food are able to request a “Grab and Go” bag, containing three small meals to help students get through the day. The “Grab and Go” bags may be picked up from the Office of the Dean of Students, Office of Student Life, or the Student Health Care Center.
The Bearcat Food Pantry will be closed from December 21, 2024, through January 3, 2025. During the Winter Session, the pantry will operate by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled to accommodate students’ needs during this time. The pantry is available to all students registered for Winter Session classes.

If you have received this message, please delete it. If you responded to the message and provided your personal information, please contact helpdesk@baruch.cuny.edu for assistance with changing your passwords and taking further action, if necessary.
