The Starr Career Development Center’s Career-Focused Pedagogy Training & Community Brightspace Site aims to better equip undergraduate faculty from all disciplines (i.e., arts & sciences, business, public affairs), teaching modalities, and class sizes, in assisting students become career ready.
Specifically, faculty will:
- explore approaches to establishing a career-focused classroom culture
- reflect on their current teaching practices and identify opportunities for career readiness integration
- strategize and develop career-focused instructional materials and classroom strategies
- join a community of colleagues invested in student career readiness
Asynchronous modules include (self-paced):
- The Value of Career-Focused Pedagogy
- Curating & Disseminating Resources
- Actively Incorporating Career Readiness into the Curriculum
- Leveraging Campus Stakeholders
Showcase your knowledge and commitment to career-focused pedagogy:
- Earn a Certificate of Completion in Career-Focused Pedagogy and/or a Career-Focused Instructor Certificate upon completing our training modules and certificate-specific requirements (e.g., knowledge check).
