Peer Staff

Allison is a junior majoring in International Business and double minoring in Japanese and Finance. Over the years, she has interned in several accounting roles, a research analyst position at a consulting firm, and most recently as a special projects intern at Marvel Entertainment. She is also a recipient of the Gilman Scholarship award and plans to study abroad in Tokyo, Japan in Spring 2021. As a returning Peer, she is eager to work with new and returning students to hone their resume and career skills. This coming Fall, she will also be working as a First Year Seminar Peer Mentor.

Angelina is a sophomore pursuing a dual major in Art History and Spanish with minors in NYC Studies and French. In Spring 2020, she interned at the Mishkin Gallery as a Gallery Assistant Intern and has been offered the opportunity to continue her internship. She is also the Co-Chair of the Latinx Heritage Month Planning Committee, the Secretary of Socrates Hellenic Society, and a First Year Seminar Peer Mentor. She is excited to help her peers as they embark on their professional journey!

Anna is a senior majoring in Statistics and Quantitative Modeling with minors in Economics and Finance and NYC Studies. Anna studied abroad in Japan in January 2020 and this past summer, she worked as a Business Support & Operations intern at PGIM Fixed Income. She is excited to go back full time in 2021 to be in the Rotational Program. This is her third semester working as a Peer and she hopes to help students advance in their career and knows that everyone is in their race at their own pace!

Gauri is a junior majoring in Finance with double minors in Economics and Advanced Business Analysis. She interned at the NYS Department of Financial Services as a Research and Innovation intern this summer and is the Co-Founder and Treasurer of a newly launched body positivity club on campus – Our Beauty in All Sizes (Our B.I.A.S.). This fall, Gauri will be the Vice President of the Honors Student Council at Baruch and will join the Welcome Center as a Student Recruitment Team member. She is excited to be a Peer for Career and looks forward to supporting her peers in their professional development journey by helping them utilize the resources at Starr.

Heather, a senior in the CUNY BA program, has created her own major: Cinematic Production and Investment. She has served as the Medium Director for Film and Photography as part of the USG Arts Committee, as well a Production Assistant for The Ticker. Heather’s passion lies with art and she hopes to assist her peers in career development utilizing the resources and platforms at Starr.

Jason is a sophomore pursuing a BBA in Economics with a minor in Political Science. Aside from his role as a Peer, Jason has gained professional experience by interning at the law firm of Sobel Pevzner and Intrellit, a medical malpractice data firm. He is also the webmaster of Baruch’s Pre-Law Society’s first law review. Jason’s mission is to do whatever it takes to properly develop your professional document and land you that dream job or internship that you have always wanted.

Jennifer is a rising sophomore majoring in Organizations Management with a minor in Communications. She has worked in CUNY programs such as the Census Corps to spread awareness to help fill out the Census as well as College Bridge For All as a College Coach helping high school seniors through the college matriculation process and any post-secondary plans. Currently, Jennifer is in her first semester as a Peer for Career and guides students on matters related to career exploration.

Jenny is a senior majoring in Accounting with minors in Corporate Communication and Computer Applications in Business. This past summer, she interned at Amazon as an Accounting Financial Analyst Intern with the Digital Device and Services Team supporting Alexa. Jenny has worked at Nasdaq as a Tax Accounting Intern and was a 2018 Fellow in the America Needs You Program. She is excited to be back working with students to achieve their career goals and supporting them in their professional development journey!

Lorraine is a junior majoring in Finance and minoring in Spanish. During the Summer, she was a Sales Intern for Codeucate and a participant of the SYEP Summer Bridge Program, where she helped to design an app to improve literacy in young students. In the upcoming school year, aside from being a Peer, she will be continuing her role as Vice President of the Ecuadorian Club. As a new Peer, she is excited to support and guide other Baruch students as they pursue their career goals.

Monica is a senior majoring in Marketing Analytics with minors in Psychology and Graphic Design. She has had previous internship experiences in the healthcare, non-profit, and startup sectors. Currently, she works at the Zicklin Graduate Career Management Center on graphics and social media. Having lived and studied in China, Venezuela, and the U.S., Monica speaks multiple languages. Her diverse background shapes her passion for women empowerment, diversity, inclusion and belonging on campus.

Nikki is currently a junior majoring in Finance and minoring in Theatre. She often works as a Stage Manager for various theatrical productions and has also assistant stage-managed many of Baruch College’s productions including As-Is and Gone Missing. She has previously interned at MW Entertainment Group utilizing her dual interest in both business and entertainment production. As a Peer for Career, she looks forward to helping students make the most of their career opportunities.

Patrick is a senior majoring in Accountancy and minoring in Advanced Business Analysis. He plans to acquire a CPA license and MSIS through the five-year program at Baruch. Fall 2020 is his second year as a Peer, and he is also the Executive President of the Macaulay Business Club. With a significant interest in geopolitics and financial markets, he is eager to help students overcome personal and professional obstacles in pursuit of their aspirations. Also, he is a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo!

Pragya is a Zicklin and Provost Scholar pursuing a BBA in Finance with minors in Economics and Advanced Business Analysis. She is a recipient of the 2019-2020 Kong & Mui Peers for Careers Award for her work and contributions as a Peer at Starr. Aside from serving as a Peer since 2019, Pragya is also a Resident Assistant at the Baruch Residence Hall and a Student Ambassador at the Admissions Welcome Center. Pragya is an active member of the Baruch Finance & Economics Society and she interned at Northwestern Mutual this past summer. She looks forward to assisting Baruch students on their path to professional development and success.

Shaurya is a sophomore majoring in Computer Information Systems Data Analytics with a double minor in Economics & Finance, and Law & Policy. She is the VP of Professional Events at Women in Business, AVP of Marketing at Wall Street Club, participant in the Technology Leadership Development Program, and works at the Office of Student Life. She has been part of professional programs by Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, AT&T, and Break Through Tech. She is excited to work as a Peer to give back to her fellow Bearcats’ professional development!

Shimran is a sophomore majoring in Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. This past summer, she worked for MedLabs Diagnostics as a data analyst, contributing to the COVID-19 testing in New York City by creating daily reports. She is also a Peer Mentor at the Success Network at Baruch College, where she will be mentoring incoming students with professional and social development. As a Peer for Career, she is eager to aid students with career development through resume and cover letter reviews.

Weiguang (Wei) is a Junior majoring in Operations Management and minoring in Economics. Currently, he is an Intern Manager for Codeucate, a nonprofit dedicated to providing Computer Science education. On campus, he is also excited to be a Success Network Mentor and on the Board of Directors for Baruch College Association, Inc. for Undergraduate Student Government. As a Peer, he looks forward to giving back and supporting his fellow students with career development.
