Starr Search
One of the first things you should do to participate in our services is log into Starr Search (Powered by Handshake).
Accounts are created shortly after the beginning of each semester. Please check your Baruchmail for login instructions. Starr search is a service available to undergraduate, degree-seeking students only.

Career Counseling
Career counseling consists of weekly meetings with a Starr Career Advisor to assist with:
- Major selection
- Job and internship search
- Career exploration
- Decision-making
- Other issues that may affect your career process

Resume Reviews
You can make an appointment, come in during scheduled walk-in hours or attend resume rush to have your resume reviewed.
Bring a paper copy of your resume draft and it will be reviewed by a member of the Starr staff.
Career Exploration
We offer a variety of assessment tools to gather information on values, skills, accomplishments, personality style, interests as well as other areas important to career development to assist you in major selection and career choice.
The most popular career assessments used at the Starr are: the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as well as FOCUS-2.
Mock Interviews
To obtain a mock interview by a staff member at Starr to make an appointment. Prior to the interview, you should stop by the office to obtain our packet on interviewing. You should then practice, practice, practice.
When you come for your appointment: wear appropriate business attire, bring a copy of your resume, bring a flash drive so that you can take your recorded interview with you to review.
