Tech Mentors
Who is a Tech Mentor?
Tech mentors are tech professionals who will help the Technology Leadership Development Program (TLDP) students (mentees) prepare for the world of work after college. Mentors will help TLDP students to develop strong interpersonal skills that are essential in communicating, networking and interviewing, just to name a few. Tech Mentors assist mentees in understanding the various career paths they can pursue in the constant changing technology industry. The Tech Mentors will discuss his or her own career path and provide guidance, perspective, insight as well as role modeling for the mentees.
* It is not the goal of the TLDP Tech Mentoring Program, nor is it expected of Tech Mentors to provide their mentees with an internship or a job, and mentees in the TLDP may not ask their Mentors for an internship or a job.
Mentoring Program Commitment
The TLDP Tech Mentoring Program is a commitment: the tech Mentor and mentee must meet virtually at least for 1 hour once a month and maintain contact via zoom, teams, email or telephone.
